Long a favourite destination of Mediterranean cruise ships, it doesn’t take long to understand why, every week, thousands of tourists descend to enjoy all that the city of Málaga has to offer.
With all the amenities that one would expect of a modern city, yet with the friendly, relaxed attitude that one would anticipate from a Spanish location, Málaga has plenty to offer. Following the opening of the new terminal, known to frequent fliers as T3, it has been announced that Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport will soon benefit from the addition of a second runway.
This will enable the Costa del Sol to welcome even more visitors from all over Europe and beyond. It has been estimated that T3 has already resulted in a doubling of capacity, as well as presenting new arrivals with a very stylish first impression.
New figures, published by AENA reveal that, since November 2010, 9.5 million passengers have passed through the terminal after touching down on a total of 80,000 flights. Continue reading »
